amen, jess. new girl is definitely a new fave of mine, and this quote from tuesday's episode really struck me, because i feel that's really me (besides the talking to children all day part...). and i feel like saying those things sometimes... yes i carry an oldschool volkswagen metal lunchbox, and it's fun and awesome! i dance in my chair at work when i'm listening to happy music, i have an affinity for saying "woo hoo!" and yes i have a mustache tattoo (yes it's real), i think its hilarious! stop taking yourself so seriously!

hello lovely friends!! first of all, i want to thank you so much for your kind words & patients...it has been rough but may is already looking up so how about some positivity?! roxy got her sutures out this morning and other things seem to be aligning well in our lives...

snapped this gem while bowie was passed out on the couch/stephen's leg.  how silly is he with his mouth open?! stayed that way for quite a while too...our special little bowie, he keeps us laughing.

saturday was my mom's birthday (another happy birthday to my amazing, beautiful, strong, hilarious mom) and we had a girls' weekend in san antonio to celebrate! i have more pictures and adventures to share soon, but for now, here is one of my favorite pics of the weekend.  we were shopping and came across the most amazing hat collection... i mean, how could we resist?!

the wild bunch

well we are back and had a most wonderful time in gatlinburg with our little family of friends! i have lots of pics to share but haven't gotten around to downloading, editing, etc...so i'm just going to give you this little gem:

oh yes. we totally did that. we thought it was very fitting for gatlinburg, so naturally we couldn't resist. if you're thinking we look a bit mad, the guy was telling us to look mean and since we were laughing so much, we had to try harder to look mean and i think we succeeded...especially stephen! look at that snarl!

well i'll have some pics of the lovely bride and groom soon, and of course the amazing fall foliage that the smoky mountains are known for.

i got to dogsit a beautiful & loving weimaraner this weekend named zoe.  she is just so sweet and an easy-going dog.  while out for our walk on sunday, i came across a couple of odd things i thought i'd share! sorry for the lack in quality, but these are my handy dandy cell phone pictures.
